Sportslexia

I do by no means wish to brag,
When I tell you of a simple snag
Some people run and jump and kick
I could hardly fetch a stick.

Letters and numbers came easily
I never confuse ‘us’, ‘you’ and ‘we’
And although I’m no prodigy
I’m firmly in bracket A* to C

But, you see, I have two left feet
I’m all too familiar with defeat
Throwing and catching, not my forte
I express myself in a different way

One plus ten might be eleven
With me on your team is like playing with seven
I’m much more at home behind a desk
Me exercising is a sight quite grotesque

When one is aware of ones personal gifting
They can finally focus rather than drifting
Away from what you truly enjoy
And finally live under your own employ
