D’you wake up screaming, wondering why?
Or fail to trust the canopy of the sky
To not fall upon your bed
And crush your dreaming sleeping head?
Like, Have you ever stood on an escalator
And as you go up you have no fear greater
Than falling back down the moving stair,
Just to fall forever tumbling nowhere.
And do you keep your mouth tight shut –
For fear of something crawling in your gut
And laying eggs there deep inside
Until a terrible thick many legg’ed tide
Comes spewing out from every orifice
Just the notion causes nauseousness.
But don’t you worry your fragile head
A hundred years, and you’ll be dead
And then all that stuff won’t matter
Try enjoy the daily pitter-patter.
